Strategic Board 3

In light of the recent success of ViBRANT's first year review there were no substantive issues to warrant a face-to-face strategic board meeting.

Individual board members have been involved in related e-mail discussions, particularly taking forward the reviewers second recommendation  to undertake work toward reaching a high level of integration of ViBRANT's activities with other nodes of the EU's e-Infrastructure program. As part of these developments Dave Roberts is working with the coordinators of related EU projects to develop  a framework outlining the major challenges  to biodiversity science over the next ten years. ViBRANT has taken on a significant role in driving these activities and Dave Roberts will be presenting a poster on the early phase of this work at the International Conference on Research Infrastructures in Copenhagen 21-23 March 2012.
