Senior Drupal Developer

We seek a senior Drupal developer for a 3-year (full-time) position as part of a major collaborative effort to help researchers share and manage biodiversity data on the web (http://scratchpads.eu/). The work will include design and implementation of web applications, web services, data schemas and other applications and services. 

You will be responsible for the agile development of modular, open-source and communal software components as part of an international team of software developers. The work will include design and implementation of web applications, web services, data schemas and databases, and other applications and services. In addition you will represent the project and its partners as a technical and programmatic expert at national and international meetings. The successful applicant will have at least 2 years experience designing and programming Drupal modules and websites, in addition to experience as technical lead on Drupal based projects. This includes extensive knowledge and use of PHP, MySQL, Drupal, SQL, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, in addition to practical experience of Linux Server administration.

• a degree level qualification or equivalent business experience
• demonstrable experience of programming Drupal modules
• demonstrable experience of building Drupal websites
• technical Lead/Senior Developer level experience
• practical experience in Linux Server administration
• previous working experience of configuring Views, CCK and other contributed models
